Are you a "Native Christian?"

What is a Native Christian? Native Christian is a funny name that came up during a Bible study last year. We used the term to define people who don't really know why they are "Christian" - - and quite frankly, they most likely are not. They are simply identified with Christianity because of their parents, or because they go to church on the weekend for social activity, or because they want to be the same as others... for a variety of different reasons, they identify themselves as a Christian.

Are YOU a Christian simply because you were born into a Christian household? Have you ever considered what it means to actually be like Christ?

Are you "Christian because your parents are Christians?" Are you a "Christian" because "you were raised in a Christian house?" If someone asked people who know you, what would they say about you? Do you KNOW if you are really a Christian?

How can you really know if you are a Christian?

This blog will be dedicated to the following:

- Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ

- Determining the difference between a "Native Christian" and a sinner who has been reborn and regenerated to new life

- Discussing and answering questions about Christianity and refuting some common myths and misunderstandings about the Bible

- Addressing problems with other world religions and other cults that claim to be of the Christian Church

- Addressing current social/political issues from a Biblical and Christian world-view

This blog will not do the following:

-Engage in hostile argumentative debate or allow offensive or inappropriate comments. If you are simply here to pick a fight, or if you just want to make rude inappropriate comments, they will be removed immediately and ignored.

I hope you enjoy my blog, for whatever its worth to you, and I although I am no scholar, no professor or high profile pastor, I hope that I can communicate with you all in a direct and effective manner that is edifying to you, and glorifies the Lord!

Thank you, and God Bless!

Sad Supreme Court in CA

On Thursday in an act of judicial activism, the California Supreme Court wrongly overstepped there duties when they overturned a ban on same-sex marriage that was passed by California voters in 2000. The sad thing is that because four state supreme court justicies decided to overstep there role, now the people of California's decision has been undone, and same-sex couples will be allowed to wed against the will of the people of CA.

Lets take a little basic reveiw of the American Legal system... The Legislative Branch (the elected law-makers) write/pass the law; The Judicial Branch (courts/judges) interpret the laws; and The Executive Branch enforces the laws. THATS RIGHT, the Legislative branch makes the law, the elected, accountable law-makers - NOT the judges. The judges are not put on the court to use thier rulings to make a bunch of laws to support their own agendas.

Not only will traditionalists have to put up with the in-your-face rhetoric and antics of the celebratory pro-gay movement, and thier cheif spokesman Gavin Newsome, but they will now have to watch same-sex couples as they belittle and deminish the sanctity of marriage, which has been historically defined (since the beginning of time), throughought every society on earth, as a union between one man and one woman.

The only thing we can do is get out and vote! We need to send a message to the CA Supreme Court, and the pro-gay movement that we will not put up with Judges overturning the will of the people, we will not roll over and accept the immoral and unbiblical agenda of the same-sex couples and supporters who are advocating the legalization of same sex marriages, and we will come out in full force to protect marriage... we need to pass an ammendment that clearly defines legally recognized marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman.
